I don’t really believe this, if anything I’d think teens who are depressed listen to more music to keep themselves sane…

Kimbra - “Settle Down” (by Forum5Recordings)
I just really felt like sharing this, I really love this song, her voice, and the video, so adorable, and interesting.
You may remember her from Gotye’s “Somebody I used to know.”
Ya know, I always see this ‘fact’ floating around, and I think, and this just my opinion here, my dumbass hasn’t conducted any studies and is just going off personal and my friends experiences - BUT, I feel it may be that depressed teenagers listen to more music, as opposed to the music making the teenager depressed. When I’m down, I listen to more music, now I guess there’s a difference between what kind of music you CHOOSE to listen too when you’re sad, you know, like if you’re feeling down in the dumps and reach for The Cure, probably gonna make you feel more morose, than if you reach for music that cheers you up, like I do.
Unless The Cure cheers you up… lol.
Here is a song of mine called Coma Baby - please bear in mind that it was the first song I had ever written all by myself and was recorded on a delirious and humid summer night with a webcam microphone and nubby little fingers that really really cannot play guitar.
Oh. <3

The morning after I ‘met’ Dre’s mom and sister over skype, my mother told me.
“You know, last night I couldn’t get to sleep until you did.”
“Awh, Why? Was I being noisy? I’m sorry.” I said
“You were;” she responded “You wouldn’t stop singing.”
“I was?” I asked a bit surprised.
“Yup. You must have been very happy.” she told me with a smile.
Meeting Dre’s mother over skype is something that has brought me that much closer to the possibility of moving there, of meeting him. No matter how tightly I seal my lips, my heart is singing right now.
